Facilitated by Sam Poyser, an experienced practice & business manager, this programme capitalises on her skills and personal experience. Sam has the ability to rapidly analyse situations and identify issues within dental practices, supported by a proven ability to develop effective solutions.

Her background in the financial and retail sectors provided the broad experience she believes is essential to running a modern dental business. And, it’s this breadth of knowledge that allows Sam to think differently to a clinically trained practice manager.

About the service

Sam is passionate about customer care and believes it’s key to business success. She also provides expert advice on the adoption of Quality Assurance schemes and the ways these can be used to build and retain a team capable of delivering world-class service.

 

Single Visit

During a full day at your practice, Sam will gather a wealth of information by working with you and your team. In collaboration with Kevin Rose, this will receive detailed analysis, identifying knowledge gaps and opportunities to create positive change.

As a result, Sam will respond with a package detailing how to develop the practice through a programme of measures designed to benefit the practice manager, the business owner and the business itself.

 

Multi-Session Visit

Combining all the benefits of our Single Visit, the information gathering and analysis phase is supplemented by a further two sessions. Providing one-to-one support, our enhanced programme is ideal for practices requiring in-depth development or where an inexperienced practice manager needs dedicated support. Together, we’ll target key areas and can incorporate specific requirements where required.

SAM POYSER

A vibrant individual with an infectious personality, Sam began her career in retail banking. A range of jobs in other sectors followed, but despite repeated progression to a managerial level, these never proved sufficiently challenging, leaving Sam’s ambitions unfulfilled. So, in 2000 she decided on a career change, qualifying as a dental nurse in 2004.

During the following decade at Thackeray Dental Care, Sam has enjoyed the rapid progression she always desired. From early beginnings as a receptionist, in just five years her skills as a marketing professional, passion for customer care and exceptional knowledge of Quality Assurance were rewarded by her appointment as Practice Manager.

After becoming full time Business & Practice Manager 2011, Sam took ownership of Thackeray Dental Care the following year. Since then, she’s continued to successfully manage day-to-day operations, whilst helping to grow a profitable client base that will ensure long-term success. Her dedication has substantially contributed towards the practice receiving both Gold Investors in People and Gold BDA Good Practice accreditation.

In recent years Sam has made even greater use of her abilities. Initially inviting practice managers to join her in Mansfield for role-specific training, she now provides a range of on-site solutions, delivering real-time support to practice managers and business owners in their working environment.
